Overtone singing is the art of revealing the hidden harmonics of the human voice. It brings together acoustics, embodied awareness and consciousness, opening a completely new way of listening to sound and experiencing your own voice.
During this immersive weekend, I will guide you from your very first overtones towards a deep understanding of the techniques and principles of Overtone singing. You will receive the tools and practices needed to continue your own journey with clarity and confidence.
You will not only learn how to produce overtones, but also how to hear them, understand them, and experience them as a meditative practice.
What You Will Learn
The Architecture of Overtone Singing
Explore the different styles of Overtone singing—in depth. Together we will discover the role of the tongue, lips, jaw and resonating spaces of the vocal tract, developing a clear understanding of how overtones are created.
The Science of Sound
Discover what is actually happening inside your vocal tract. Using software such as VoceVista, the harmonic spectrum becomes visible, allowing you to experience the meeting point of acoustics, physics and conscious listening.
Deep Listening
Through carefully designed listening exercises, you will develop a new perception of harmonic sound. Many participants find that this transforms the way they hear music, language and even silence itself.
Sound as Ceremony
As your relationship with the technique deepens, another dimension naturally opens. The voice becomes a tool for meditation, presence and inner stillness.
